Rock your beauty
There are always special people who challenge society and superficial stereotypes, proving by their own example that beauty cannot fit into limited frames.
From the first time that I met Theresa, I fell in love with her special beauty, both, outer and inner.
She is an incredibly talented person with a kind vulnerable heart, artistic imagination, very open and bright personality.
Theresa models as a hobby and inspires a huge number of followers.
She is all the time comes out with original, extraordinaire ideas for photoshoots that cannot leave anyone indifferent.
Theresa is changing beauty standards, challenging society and the fashion industry.
She is openly telling her story to change as many lives as possible and help people see beauty in all its manifestations, look at things wider, and be deeper.
Theresa has Lipo-Lymphedema that appears when Lipedema and lymphedema are all presented together.
Lymphedema is swelling due to the build-up of lymph fluid in the body. Lymph nodes act like a drain in your sink. If the drain is clogged, the fluid cannot drain. It usually happens in the arms or legs but can occur in other parts of the body.
In Theresa's case, it's genetic, her mom also has Lipedema.
She felt her first symptoms when she was in the second grade, her thighs started to become large, and would experience a sharp pain on the back of her thighs, just like an electrical feeling which is very painful.
There is a feeling of heaviness that slows down mobility and fatigue from moving, Theresa tries to avoid the situation when she has to stand a long time because it affects her legs and makes them swell even more.
Many people judge her based on her weight, not understanding that it is related to her condition, they assume that she did it to herself because she ate a lot.
People are not always able to recognize beauty beyond accepted standards unless you show them what beauty is.
Theresa: “There will always be people who will see your beauty and find you attractive, you can be sexy at any size”
Theresa’s mission is to challenge the world’s standards and stereotypes that are sometimes unconsciously absorbed
from all influences that tell us what to think, feel, love, and what to consider beautiful.
This precious mission has already helped many people to accept themselves fully and change their lives for the better.
