Cholets, Geometries in flight where my brilliance becomes your omen

In El Alto, certain façades seem to have learned to disobey gravity. They are architectural bodies whose geometry appears unwilling to settle for occupying a specific volume; from their own edges, there are escapes toward another dimension of space, where color is permitted. This series begins from the idea that neo-Andean architecture contains an expansive potency still incomplete, a suspended vibration that the eye can barely register and that embroidery extends until it becomes visible. The buildings emerge from a desaturated atmosphere, material substrate. Upon that stillness, the thread erupts with cutting precision. It advances, bifurcates, insists. There is a constant friction between the grainy opacity of the photograph and the tactile sharpness of the embroidery. In this gesture, embroidery introduces a torsion into architectural photography. The record ceases to operate as a surface of verification and becomes a field of intervention. The needle moves across the image with a temporality distinct from that of the photographic shot; it pierces, links, insists upon points. There is, within this, a restitution of the body. First, the hands raise the building. Then the eye translates that mass into framing. Afterwards, the hand returns, piercing the paper to restore thickness to vision. Each stitch reactivates the physical dimension of an architecture conceived through line. Cholets condense a form of urban desire. In their façades, each angle and each chromatic saturation announce a will to presence that reorganizes the street and its surroundings around them. These embroidered interventions take that energy and displace it toward a speculative zone where ornamentation seems to continue growing, as though it had found a way to detach itself from matter and continue on its own, radiating. What appears, then, is not the representation of a building, but the trace of its insistence: a geometry that remains vibrating beyond the walls.
