Light and shadow in the name of the Lord
The project provides a rare insight behind the monastery and convent walls of the Teutonic Order.
As in most European Christian religious orders, the Teutonic Order, founded in 1190, has to contend with major recruitment problems.
While individual brothers have been accepted into the community of priests in recent years, the last 20 nuns still live and work in the Lanegg Monastery in Lana in South Tyrol, Italy, founded by Archduke Maximilian in 1837.
For me personally, this project is a reappraisal of my own childhood.
