The project sex work - lock down, deals with the topic of sex work in times of the Corona pandemic in Austria. Together with her protagonists, Helena Lea Manhartsberger explores the challenges of the current situation and the strategies that people in this industry have found to get through the pandemic. Accompanying the visual exploration of the topic, sex workers, operators, clients, social workers and activists talk about their experiences in interviews and give diverse insights into the topic. A combination of portraits, pictures of places and objects, as well as intense interviews give an impression of a challenging period in times of lockdown, distance rules and occupational bans on the most bodily activity of all.
