Split between editorial and personal work, my approach is intimate and diaristic. Immersed in my surroundings and those I've photographed sometimes it is a search for closure. These works attempt to purvey one's last memories of a dream as they wake up. With that in mind, I want to transpose these faint remembrances of my dreams into the imagery. Some of the photographs seem as though they haven't fully materialized and I think this is because I'm trying to visually secure these ephemeral encounters moments before they disappear. For me this is what gives them their dream-like aesthetic.
