Round Trip: An Endless Border

Round Trip: An Endless Border is a documentary photography project that explores the repetitive and seemingly endless experience of migrants along the U. S. –Mexico border. For thousands of families, the border is not just a geographic boundary but a continuous cycle of attempted crossings, deportations, and forced returns—an endless round trip with no clear destination.

This project seeks to portray daily life within this cycle: the shelters where migrants wait for news, the improvised camps along the Rio Grande, the physical scars of walls and razor wire, as well as intimate moments of care and resilience among those in constant motion.

Through direct yet sensitive images, my goal is to document how people live caught between hope and uncertainty, challenging narratives that reduce migration to statistics or threats. The series aims to provide a human perspective that highlights both the vulnerability and the dignity of those navigating an infinite border—a place where the journey never truly ends, and every attempt to move forward may mean returning to the same point of departure.
