"Laboratoria" is an ongoing documentary project that combines innovation, experimentation and knowledge to solve in a creative way the new challenges of the rural territories , with rural areas disappearing, agricultural land being over exploited and getting exhausted terrains as a main consequence. Laboratoria proposes answers. Real alternatives that trace new routes towards a more sustainable future.

This chapter of the project here, documents a regeneration academy, located in one of the most desertified areas of Europe, La Junquera (Murcia, Spain). Since 2015, it is used as a science-based classroom of 1,100 hectares where entrepreneurs and students from all over the world come to research and experiment on location on how to restore degraded ecosystems while getting a sustainable profit thru regenerative agriculture techniques having hands-on experience.

The farm has been transformed to an organic farm in which regenerative techniques are implemented in more than five different types of crops, focusing on biodiversity restoration, livelihood improvement and making it financially sustainable in the long term.

It is also a project incubator, a business hub that hosts several start-up projects all focused on regenerating ecosystems that integrate ecology and business, like a natural wine winery, land artists, and a communication agency.

They all live and work there, creating a cohesive young international community.
