This project is a visual testimony to the ongoing destruction of civilian life in Gaza. Created from within the events themselves, it follows the experiences of ordinary people navigating bombardment, loss, displacement, and survival amid one of the most devastating periods in the territory's history.

Structured as a visual narrative, the work moves through interconnected chapters: airstrikes that reduce neighborhoods to rubble, families fleeing in search of safety, overwhelmed hospitals struggling to save lives, moments of unbearable farewell, mass displacement, and acts of faith and resilience that persist despite immense loss.

Rather than documenting destruction alone, the project explores the fragile space between despair and endurance. It asks how people preserve dignity, memory, and humanity when homes, communities, and futures are under constant threat.

As a Palestinian photojournalist from Gaza, I photographed many of these moments while living through the same reality. These images are both documentary evidence and personal testimony. Together, they form a collective record of lives interrupted, families shattered, and a society struggling to endure.

Faces of Genocide: Gaza's Silent Testimony seeks to preserve memory, bear witness to civilian suffering, and invite viewers to confront the human consequences of war beyond headlines and statistics.
