Screening the Selected 100 Photographers

Join us for a special screening presenting the work of all 100 photographers selected to participate in the Hamburg Portfolio Review 2026.

From 1,238 applications comprising 1,962 projects and 18,144 images from 95 countries, 100 photographers were selected for this year’s edition. On 25 September, their projects will come together in a continuous screening, offering a broad and multifaceted view of contemporary photographic practice from around the world.

The selected projects reflect a wide range of personal, social and political realities. They explore autobiographical experiences and questions of identity, family and belonging, while also engaging with environmental issues, nature, social change, political conflicts and the global and national challenges shaping our present. Together, the works reveal how photographers across different regions and contexts use the medium to observe, question and interpret the world around them.

The screening offers a unique opportunity to discover all 100 selected projects in one evening and to experience the diversity of perspectives, visual languages and approaches represented within the Hamburg Portfolio Review 2026.
